Zusammenfassung:A process for recirculating phenol in a lignocellulosic materials digestion process in which lignocellulosic material is digested with phenol-containing solutions in order to dissolve lignin, characterised in that phenol recirculation is carried out as a cyclic process in which the phenol-containing solution is first used in the washing of the cellulosic material from the phenol digeston, thereafter in the lignocellulosic material digestion step, and finally in a lignocellulosic material impregnation step preceding the phenol digestion process.
