Zusammenfassung:Matter (e.g. fibres) contg. lignocellulose is boiled in a treatment chamber through which a heated washing liq. is continually circulated via a closed return circuit including a heat exchanger to re-heat the liq. and e.g. a pump. Boiling washing liquid is preriodically injected into the bottom of the treatment chamber at a flow rate of 1-15 m3 min (pref. 3-8 m3/min) whilst the main circulation of washing liq. through the chamber is stopped. During this period the pressure in the treatment chamber is prevented from dropping. A more uniform heating of the matter in the treatment chamber is achieved thereby reducing the matter to a more uniform pulp.
