Zusammenfassung:	The bow of the ice breaker above the water line is pontoon-shaped, and has parallel side walls. It has an end surface, extending over the complete width of the ship, the lower section of which is flat, and inclined forward. Below the water line, the surface merges into a wedge-shape with central keel. The lower side of the pontoon has slide and breaking edges (50, 60), extending in the longitudinal direction of the ship, and neighbouring its side walls (19, 20). The slide- and breaking edges have a rod-shaped profile, a rectangular cross-section, and are provided with heater elements.
