FOERFARANDE FOER FRAMSTAELLNING AV NEUROLEPTISKA N-(P-FLUORBENZOYLPROPYL)-4-PIPERIDYLAMIDER OCH DERAS SYRAADDITIONSSALTER

Novel N-(p-fluorobenzoylpropyl)-4-piperidylamides of the formula I below, in which R is a hydrogen atom, a straight-chain or branched alkyl radical with 1 to 15 carbon atoms, the tetrahydrofuryl, furyl, thienyl, phenyl or adamantyl radical, are prepared by reacting a correspondingly substituted amidopiperidine with a p-fluorobutyrophenone which has in the omega position a group which can be eliminated under the reaction conditions. The products of the process can be converted into their physiologically acceptable acid addition salts. The novel compounds show the typical range of effects of neuroleptics and can therefore be employed as CNS-depressant agents, sedatives and tranquillisers.
