Zusammenfassung:1496015 Dispensers PFIZER Inc 18 Feb 1975 [9 Aug 1974] 6868/75 Heading B8S A multiple disc dispenser, for dispensing discs 16 from a plurality of cartridges 39 to a compartmented container 12, comprises a dispensing table mechanism 119 on which a plurality of individual dispensers 115 are releasably mounted in sockets (118) provided in a top plate (122) and in a bottom plate (123) of the mechanism 119, Fig. 1 (not shown), each dispenser 115 mounting a cartridge 39 in which a stack of discs is contained and comprising a shoot 126 through which a disc 16 which is removed from the associated stack falls into a compartment in the container 12, the latter being mounted, in use, in a chamber beneath the mechanism 119 on a base platform 248. As the tops 127 of the shoots 126 are open it is possible to verify that discs have been discharged from the shoots 126 by looking through a central longitudinal opening provided in a top plate (122) of the apparatus, Fig. 1 (not shown). Each dispenser 115, Fig. 12, comprises a body 160 within which a slide carriage 130 is movable against the force of a compression spring 162, the cartridge 39 being clamped in the dispenser 115 by means of a clamp (170) mounted on a cover 164, Fig. 9 (not shown), and the slide carriage 130 includes an apertured slide plate 195 and a depending pin 128 such that in the position of the carriage 130 shown in Fig. 12 the aperture receives a disc 16 from the cartridge 39, and movement of the carriage 130 to the left in Fig. 12, moves the disc to the top 127 of the shoot 126 so that the disc falls therethrough. All of the dispenser carriages 130 are moved simultaneously thereby causing simultaneous discharge of discs from all the dispensers 115, such simultaneous movement being effected by means of movable actuating plate 256 which includes cam surfaces 298, Fig. 7, each of which is engageable with a pin 128 of a dispenser 115 to move the associated carriage 130 to cause the dispensing of a disc. Movement of the plate 256 is brought about by depressing a plunger 280 which is connected by a cable 308 to the plate 256, the movement being opposed by coil springs 302. The sockets (118) in which the dispensers 115 are mounted comprise rectangular slots (120) in the top plate (122) and circular holes (125) in the bottom plate (123), and the dispensers are secured in position in the sockets by the engagement of locking lugs 288 of a locking plate 258 (which is disposed below the plate 256) each with a lug
