[Also in Division A5] A novel, therapeutic dithiocarbamate (I) is obtained by reacting a salt of 2-mercaptobenzoxazole with an N - methyl - N - naphth- 1-ylthiocarbamic acid halide (e.g. the chloride which is prepared by the interaction of thiophosgene and N-methyl-α-naphthylamine) or by reacting N-methyl-α-naphthylamine with a benzoxazol-2-yldithiocarbonic acid halide.
