The method involves applying surfaces of fibrous webs (W) in a conscience contact area (A) in contact with each other for a recognized contact time. The surfaces are autogenously arranged at the contact area. The surfaces of the fibrous web set in contact are moved with respect to each other in such a way that speed vectors of the fibrous webs are separated from each other in the contact region. The surfaces of the fibrous web are made to contact in the contact region and are raised with same speed in opposite directions. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for autogenously treating a surface of a fiber channel, comprising a guiding element.
