Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a measuring roll for a fibre-web machine, which roll has a shell on whose surface a sensor is arranged, and which roll is coated with a coating layer proper. The roll comprises at least one protective coating layer placed under the coating layer proper and on top of the sensor in such a way that when the coating layer proper is replaced, the protective coating layer remains substantially on top of the sensor and the roll shell when the coating layer proper is removed. The invention also relates to a method for coating a measuring roll of a fibre-web machine and to a method for replacing a coating of a measuring roll of a fibre-web machine.
