Zusammenfassung:The present disclosure is concerned with a skin treatment device having at least a first LED, at least a first controllable current source, in particular a first controllable constant current source, for driving the first LED, a control unit for controlled switching of at least the first controllable current source between a first state in which current is provided to the first LED and a second state in which no current is provided to the first LED, and at least a first current sensor that is connected or connectable with the first LED so that the first current sensor and the first LED form a current path at least in the second state of the first controllable current source.
