The layer, which consists of micro-optical structures, partially covers one or multiple layers. The display area or the effect area forms an optical effect. Both micro-optical structures and the display area, or effect area are applied by intaglio printing. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) multi-layer body has a layer consists of micro-optical structures (2) a security document with a multi-layer body.
