Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a cook top, comprising a cover plate (14), at least one temperature sensor (12) for measuring a bottom temperature of a cookware element (20) on the cover plate (14), and a control unit (18) for determining the temperature of the cookware element (20). In order to equip a cook top with a sensor array that allows the cookware temperature to be regulated with some delay, at least one further sensor (10, 22) for measuring at least one temperature-dependent characteristic (28) of the cookware element (20) is provided.
