Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a material for the electrocatalytic conversion of CO2 into hydrocarbons, comprising a carbonaceous substrate and a metal catalyst anchored in the carbonaceous substrate, in which the carbonaceous substrate is a carbon gel doped with the metal catalyst, comprising a carbonaceous matrix to which the metal catalyst is anchored. The material is characterised in that the metal catalyst is a transition metal or a mixture of different transition metals. Said material is suitable for use as an electrode or catalyst in methods for the electrocatalytic conversion of CO2 into hydrocarbons.
