Zusammenfassung:	The invention refers to a method for scheduling traffic in a communication channel of a mobile communications network which detects small sized data bursts and prioritizes their transmission. The detection is performed by comparison with two thresholds, one being an indicator of the instantaneous size of the data burst and the second one being related to the size of said data burst along a given period of time. The invention is also related to a network scheduler comprising means for carrying out the above method.
