Zusammenfassung:The device has a heater unit (24) for supporting a heater (28) i.e. induction coil, that is attached to a cooking zone (22) of a cooking plate unit (14). A coupling unit (44) is coupled to the cooking plate unit. A protection device (58) limits an air space (46) at a cooking zone sub-region (45) in a coupled condition of the coupling unit, in an enclosed manner. The sub-region extends between the cooking plate unit and the heater unit in a region of the cooking zone. A sensor unit (48) detects a characteristic e.g. temperature characteristic, of a heating operation.
