Zusammenfassung:	Planar artificial transmission line comprising a means for planar transmission (7) of the microstrip type, coplanar or as a tape, or variants thereof and at least one stage comprising an open loop resonator (4) and an additional element (6) for obtaining a propagative medium with backwardly moving waves (left-handed medium). It also comprises metal joints between the central conducting strip and the earth plane. With these elements artificial left-handed transmission lines based on open loop resonators having controllable characteristics (electrical length and characteristic impedance) and greater flexibility making it possible to achieve greater controllability of the frequency response of the artificial line are obtained.
