The solid-liquid extraction is carried out with a dissolvent, at low temperature and in absence of light. The lipid extracts are enriched in trans-lycopenes and crystals of trans-lycopenes with high degree of purity. The food additives are obtained and pharmaceutics or cosmetics are prepared using a natural raw material with high content of lycopene, such as tomato, water melon, papaya, algae and micro-algae, biomass of microbial origin and by-products of tomato processing. The lipid extracts are enriched in trans-lycopenes and crystals of trans-lycopenes with high degree of purity. The food additives are obtained and pharmaceutics or cosmetics are prepared using a natural raw material with high content of lycopene, such as tomato, water melon, papaya, algae and micro-algae, biomass of microbial origin and by-products of tomato processing. Obtención de todo-trans-licopeno utilizando disolventes de grado alimentario a baja temperatura. El presente invento hace referencia a un procedimiento sencillo y de bajo coste para recuperar licopeno con alto grado de pureza en todo-trans-licopeno de fuentes naturales, evitando la isomerización del todo-trans-licopeno nativo. Se emplea la extracción sólido-líquido con disolvente de grado alimentario, a baja temperatura y en ausencia de luz para evitar la isomerización del todo-trans-licopeno, y se obtienen extractos lipídicos enriquecidos en todo-trans-licopeno y de cristales de todo-trans-licopeno con alto grado de pureza útiles para la fabricación de alimentos funcionales, y adición a alimentos, o a preparados farmacéuticos o a cosméticos, utilizando como materia prima fuentes naturales con alto contenido en licopeno como tomate, sandía, papaya, algas y microalgas, biomasa de origen microbiano y excedentes y subproductos del procesado del tomate.
