A hair-styling wax comprises: (A) a wax (-like) material; (B) a non-volatile liquid hydrophobic oil; and (C) a readily volatile hydrophobic oil which can be a liquid or gas at room temperature. A hair-styling wax comprises: (A) a wax (-like) material; (B) a non-volatile liquid hydrophobic oil; and (C) a readily volatile hydrophobic oil which can be a liquid or gas at room temperature. Independent claims are also included for: (i) non-aerosol wax-spray products comprising (A) - (C) packaged with a mechanical pump and a spray- or foam-head and, more specifically, such a product comprising by wt. (A)(10-30%), (B) (10-30%) and (C) a volatile hydrophobic liquid of boiling point 30-100 degrees C; (ii) aerosol wax-spray products packaged in a pressure-tight aerosol container with a spray- or foam-head and comprising (A) and (B) as above with (C) being a hydrophobic liquefied propellant gas and, more specifically, such a product comprising (A) (5-30%), (B) (5-30%) and (C) propane, n-butane, isobutane and/or fluorohydrocarbons (35-80%); and (iii) pot-packaged products of 25 degrees C needle penetration index ≥ 10 comprising by wt. (A) (20-60%), (B) (10-35%) and (C) a volatile room temperature liquid of boiling point ≤ 250 degrees C (10-35%) which is a silicon compound, 5-14C hydrocarbon and/or volatile liquid paraffin or isoparaffin.
