Zusammenfassung:LUBRICANTE DE MOTOR DE DOS TIEMPOS Y COMPOSICION COMBUSTIBLE LUBRICANTE QUE COMPRENDEN UNA COMPOSICION PREPARADA MEDIANTE LA REACCION DE UN COMPUESTO AROMATICO DE LA FORMULA (I) CON UN REACTIVO CARBOXILICO R{SUP,1}CO(CR{SUP,2}R{SUP,3}){SUB,X} COOR{SUP,10} Y OPCIONALMENTE, AMONIACO O AMINAS. EN OTRA REALIZACION LOS LUBRICANTES DE CICLO DE DOS TIEMPOS CONTIENEN UNA COMPOSICION CARBOXILICA DE LA FORMULA (III) EN DONDE LOS DIFERENTES GRUPOS SE DEFINEN AQUI. A 2-stroke cycle engine lubricant comprises a major amt. of oil of lubricating viscosity, and a minor amt. of a carboxylic compsn. (I) prepd. by reacting (a) at least one reactant of formula (I) with (b) a carboxylic reactant of formula (III) and opt. (c) ammonia or an amine having at least one N-H group. R = hydrocarbyl; R1.R2.R3 = H or hydrocarbyl R10 = H or alkyl; Ar = 5-30C aromatic group having 0-3 substituents selected from polyalkoxyalkyl, lower alkoxy, and/or nitro; Z = OH or (OR5)bOH where R5 = divalent hydrocarbyl and b = 1-30; s = at least 1; m = 0-6; c = 1-3; x = 0-8. Also claimed is a 2-stroke cycle engine lubricant compsn. comprising a major amt. amt. of oil of lubricating viscosity and a minor amt. of a carboxylic compsn. (IV) of formula R, R1, R5, m, x, b and c are as defined above. Ar = 5-20C aromatic group opt. substituted by 0-3 amine, hydroxyl, alkylpolyoxyalkyl, nitro, aminoalkyl and/or carboxy groups; Z is as defined above, or lower alkoxy; R4 = H , hydrocarbyl, lower alkoxy, or as defined for the opt substituents on Ar; R6 = H or hydrocarbyl; A = an amide or amide-containing group, a carboxyl group, a group -C(O)-(OR5)bOH; an amidazoline-containing group, an oxazoline group or acylamino group. One Z and one A may be taken together to make a group -O-C(O)- and form a lactone group of formula. Also claimed are concentrates containing 20-90% diluent oil and 10-80% (I) or (IV).
