Preparation of expanding and water-repellent lime mortars which can be used in the restoration of historic monuments. Process for the preparation of aeraulic or hydraulic mortars which can be used in the repair and restoration of historical and artistic buildings, which are obtained by mixing slaked lime, aluminium powder and alkaline soaps with the addition of sand and optionally natural pozzolana or artificial pozzolanic materials. The resulting mortar has excellent mechanical strength properties, great water-repellence capacity and expansion properties which make it suitable for the restoration and repair of old structures. El mortero resultante presenta excelentes propiedades mecánico-resistentes, una alta capacidad hidrófuga y unas propiedades expansivas que le hacen idóneo en la restauración y reparación de construcciones antiguas.
