Device for assessing non-specular gloss

It makes it possible, in a novel manner, to obtain gloss values corresponding with the actual values in the evaluation of surfaces S with reliefs or roughnesses, the reflections of which are formed in the main by non-specular components. It consists in arranging a number of illuminants 1, 2, ... N, with different angles of incidence A1, A2, ... AN with respect to the surface S to be measured, the various reflections being picked up by means of a conventional receiver R which converts said reflections into gloss values.
