PARA VARIAR LA ABERTURA DE LAS MANDIBULAS (M) UN MANGO DE LA LLAVE (2) REGULABLE DE MODO ESCALONADO SE DESPLAZA EN LA ZONA DE CRUCE EN RELACION AL OTRO MANGO DE LA LLAVE (3) DEJANDO UN ESPACIO LIBRE (F), ADEMAS EL BULON ARTICULADO (4) ESTA CONDUCIDO AJUSTADO EN UN AGUJERO (14) DEL OTRO MANGO DE LA LLAVE (3), PUDIENDOSE DESPLAZAR TRANSVERSAL AL PLANO LONGITUDINAL DE LA LLAVE Y PRESENTANDO DOS ZONAS DE SECCION PROXIMAS EN DIRECCION DEL BULON ARTICULADO (4), DE LAS CUALES UNA EN ESTADO ACOPLADO CON AGARRE DE UNION POSITIVA RESPECTO A LOS FLANCOS PERFILADOS (FLANCOS DE LA RANURA LONGITUDINAL 12), ENCUENTRA UNA RANURA LONGITUDINAL (11) DEL OTRO MANGO DE PINZA (2) SITUADA EN LA ZONA DE CRUCE Y LA ZONA DE SECCION DELGADA ES MOVIL LIBREMENTE EN LA RANURA LONGITUDINAL (11). PARA LA CONFIGURACION MAS FAVORABLE TECNICAMENTE EN CUANTO AL MANEJO, PROPONE LA INVENCION QUE EL OTRO MANGO DE LA PINZA (3) POR UN SOLO LADO ESTE FORMADO EN EL LADO DE ACCIONAMIENTO DEL BULON ARTICULADO (4) CON UNA ENTALLA, EN LA CUAL SE PUEDA ALOJAR LA CABEZA DEL BULON ARTICULADO (15) DURANTE EL ACCIONAMIENTO Y QUE ESTE PREVISTO PARA LA CABEZA DEL BULON ARTICULADO (15) UN TOPE DE ACCIONAMIENTO SITUADO REBAJADO RELATIVAMENTE PROFUNDO. The pliers have two arms connected by a pivot pin (4) and adjustable in a stepwise manner to open or close the gap (M) between the jaws (5,6). The first arm (2) passes through a dividing slot in the other (3). The pin has limited axial movement in holes (14) in two side walls of the second arm and has diametrically opposed flats (19,20) which allow it to fit between the sides (12) of a slot (11) in the other arm. The slot has rack teeth on each side which engage with teeth (21) on the pin flats and lock the pin rotationally and positionally. To adjust the jaws, the pivot pin is pushed from the head end (15) against the pressure of a leaf spring (23). This moves the pin sideways out of engagement with the slot teeth so that it, together with the arm can be adjusted along the slot.
