Zusammenfassung:A batch fermentation is carried out continuously or semicontinuously using strains of Streptomyces clavuligerus ATCC 27064 or mutants thereof. The fermentation process is carried out with a strict control of the soluble phosphate in the medium, both at the beginning and throughout the process. As a carbon source, lipids, preferably triglycerides can be used. Substantial increases in the production of the antibiotic are obtained. LA INVENCION CONSISTE EN UN NUEVO PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA OBTENCION DE ACIDO CLAVULANICO MEDIANTE EL CUAL, CON UN CONTROL RIGUROSO DEL NIVEL DE FOSFATO SOLUBLE DURANTE LA FERMENTACION, SE PUEDE INCREMENTAR NOTABLEMENTE SU PRODUCCION. EL PROCESO SE LLEVA A CABO A PARTIR DE CEPAS SELECCIONADAS, O MUTANTES DE LAS MISMAS, OBTENIDAS A PARTIR DE STREPTOMYCES CLAVULIGERUS ATCC 27064. LA ADICION, TANTO DEL ION FOSFATO COMO DEL RESTO DE NUTRIENTES, PUEDE HACERSE AL INICIO DE LA FERMENTACION O DISTRIBUIDO A LO LARGO DE LA MISMA.
