Preparation of lime mortars which can be used in the repair of historic monuments and buildings

Process for the preparation of nonhydraulic or cement mortars and pastes, which can be used in the repair and restoration of historic monuments and buildings, obtained by mixing slaked lime, alkaline soaps and soluble copper salts, with the addition of sand and, in fact, natural or artificial puzzolans. The resulting mortar has excellent mechanical/strength properties and also a high water- repellency capacity, together with fungicidal properties, which makes it especially suited to the repair and restoration of ancient structures and buildings.
