SE SUMINISTRA UN PROCESO PARA LA PREPARACION DE UNA COMPOSICION DETERGENTE GRANULAR QUE TIENE UNA DENSIDAD EN BRUTO DE AL MENOS 650 G/L, QUE COMPRENDE EL TRATAMIENTO DE UN MATERIAL INICIADOR EN PARTICULAS EN UN MEZCLADOR/DENSIFICADOR DE ALTA VELOCIDAD, QUE SE CARACTERIZA EN QUE ENTRE EL 0.1 Y EL 50% DEL PESO CALCULADO SOBRE LA COMPOSICION DETERGENTE GRANULAR DE UNA COMPOSICION LIQUIDA SURFACTANTE SE MEZCLA CON EL MATERIAL INICIADOR DURANTE ESTE PROCESO DE TRATAMIENTO, DICHA COMPOSICION SURFACTANTE COMPRENDE A) UNA SAL DE SODIO O DE POTASIO DE UN SULFATO DE ALQUIL EN UNA CANTIDAD DE ENTRE EL 5 Y 40% DEL PESO; B) UN SURFACTANTE NO IONICO ALCOXILADO EN UNA CANTIDAD DE ENTRE EL 60 Y 95% DEL PESO; C) AGUA HASTA COMPLETAR EN UNA CANTIDAD DE ENTRE EL 0 Y EL 20% DEL PESO. A process is provided for the preparation of a granular detergent composition having a bulk density of at least 650 g/l, which comprises treating a particulate starting material in a high speed mixer/densifier, characterised in that 0.1 to 50% by weight as calculated on the granular detergent composition of a liquid surfactant composition is mixed with the starting material during this treating process, said surfactant composition comprising (a) a sodium or potassium salt of an alkyl sulphate in an amount from 5 to 40% by weight; (b) an alkoxylated nonionic surfactant in an amount from 60 to 95% by weight, (c) the balance being water in an amount from 0 to less than 20% by weight. e
