UN SISTEMA DE COMUNICACIONES VIA SATELITE QUE INCLUYE UNA TERMINAL DE COMUNICACIONES VIA SATELITE CENTRAL (20) Y UNA MULTIPLICIDAD DE TERMINALES DE COMUNICACIONES VIA SATELITE REMOTAS (10) QUE SE COMUNICAN TRAVES DE UN SATELITE (18), ASOCIADO CON CADA UNA DE LAS DIVERSAS TERMINALES DE COMUNICACIONES (10) PARA TRANSMITIR UNA RAFAGA DE INFORMACIONES DENTRO DE UN PERIODO DE TIEMPO Y PROVISTA DE UNA CARACTERISTICA INDEPENDIENTE DEL PERIODO DE TIEMPO Y DE UN APARATO RECEPTOR ASOCIADO CON LA TERMINAL DE COMUNICACIONES VIA SATELITE CENTRAL (20) PARA ADQUIRIR LA CARACTERISTICA DURANTE CADA PERIODO DE TIEMPO Y RECIBIR LA RAFAGA DE ACUERDO CON DICHO PERIODO DE TIEMPO Y DE ACUERDO CON LA CARACTERISTICA, DONDE PODRAN DARSE MULTITUD DE TRANSMISIONES CONCURRENTEMENTE DENTRO DE UNA AMPLITUD DE BANDA DE FRECUENCIA DADA. A satellite communciation system including a central satellite communication terminal (20) and a multiplicity of remote satellite communication terminals (10) which communicate via a satellite (18), apparatus associated with each of the multiplicity of remote satellite communication terminals (10) for transmitting a burst of information within a time slot and having a random or pseud-random characteristic which is independent of the time slot and receiving apparatus associated with the central satellite communication terminal (20) for acquiring the characteristic during each time slot and receiving the burst according to the time slot and according to the characteristic, whereby multiple transmissions may occur concurrently within a given frequency bandwidth.
