Zusammenfassung: | Magneto-optical system of measuring the angular velocity of a shaft. Of the type that modifies the direct or reflected transmission of light propagated from a transmitter 2 to another receiver 3 without any optical interaction between the beam of light and the rotating shaft, nor any moving element driven by this rotating shaft. The modification of the light is achieved by varying the polarization state of the light beam inside a magnetic field sensor 14, set between the transmitter 2 and receiver 3, via the action of a magnetic field modulated by the rotation of a shaft whose angular velocity one wishes to measure. The measurement is carried out by arranging a disc of ferromagnetic material 16 concentrically around the shaft, with several orifices with ferromagnetic elements 18 that form a concentric circle. On one side the disc 16 has a magnetic field generator 15 and on the other a sensor 14 facing it.
