Machine which comprises, in a single framework, a unit for stacking the individually supplied hides and a carriage which can be displaced alternately on rectilinear guides which is intended for displacing the hides received, being supplemented with a baling unit formed by a conveyor belt for receiving the stack of hides and with synchronized functioning for providing the stack of hides to a rolling head with entrainment spike, characterized in that, in the initial supply section, there is a unit for automatic measurement of the surface of each one of the individual hides and after that a marking unit co-ordinated with the measuring unit and capable of individually marking each one of the hides with an indication corresponding to the individual surface area, in accordance with the instructions received automatically from the automatic measuring unit with which it is combined.
