Improvements to the subject of Patent No. 9000229 for System for selecting needles in a knitting machine, which has an electromagnet 30 in which there is a coil 34, a fixed armature 36 and a movable armature 38 which can be displaced between a position close to a fixed armature 36 when electric current circulates through the coil 34 and a normal position of separation. The improvements consist in the use of bodies 32 consisting of non-magnetic material, in each one of which is housed at least one electromagnet 30, the fixed armature 36 of each electromagnet being an independent piece housed in the body 32.
