Zusammenfassung: | Chlorosulphonyl isocyanate is prepared by first metering hydrogen cyanide into the lower portion of a cyanogen chloride reaction column (36), into which chlorine gas is passed from the bottom. The cyanogen chloride reaction column (36) is connected to a scrubbing column (3), which is sprayed with water from the top. While the major portion of cyanogen chloride is being discharged at the top of the scrubbing column, water containing cyanogen chloride is passed from the lower portion of the cyanogen chloride reaction column (36) to the upper portion of a decoction column (8). On top of this column, a condenser (12) is present from the top of which the cyanogen chloride driven off flows into the lower portion of the scrubbing column (3). The upper portion of the scrubbing column is connected to a plurality of drying agent containers (14) which, in terms of flow, are connected in series. A line through which pure, dry cyanogen chloride flows leads from the last drying agent container to a CSI generator (16). The CSI generator (16) is fitted with a crude CSI column (17) which at its upper end carries a fraction divider (18) and on top of it a crude CSI condenser (19). A line leads from a sulphur trioxide container (20) via an evaporator (23) to the CSI generator (16). The condensate leaving the fraction divider (18) runs via a line into a pure CSI distillation flask (27) which is fitted with a pure CSI column (19), a pure CSI fraction divider (30) and on top of it a pure CSI condenser (31). Pure chlorosulphonyl isocyanate (CSI) is discharged through the product line (33). |
