The cable housing 1 comprises at least one cable mounting slot 2, 3, 4 in at least one wall 5 of the cable housing 1. Said at least one slot 2, 3, 4 comprises a cable-insertion portion 10 adapted to receive at least one cable 20. Said cable-insertion portion 10 comprises a first width 6. Said at least one slot 2, 3, 4 further comprises a cable-retention portion 15 adapted to retain the at least one cable 20 by force fit and/or form fit. Moreover, the cable-retention portion 15 comprises a second width 7 which is smaller than the first width 6.
