Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a barrier laminate which not only achieves both water vapor barrier performance and gas barrier performance at high levels even with a small number of layers (e.g., even with a single barrier layer), but also can reduce the amount of coating and thereby reduce the environmental load. The barrier laminate includes a barrier layer on at least one surface of a paper substrate, and the barrier layer contains a hydroxy polyurethane, a swellable layered silicate, and a cationic resin.
