The invention relates to an arrangement for introducing a roll container (1) into a roll container loading station (2), in particular for filling the roll container (1) with sorted packages in a logistics centre, wherein the roll container (1) is for example a forwarding container or intermediate container, wherein the arrangement has a transport system (3) for the transport of roll containers (1), wherein the transport system (3) connects a receiving location (4) for empty roll containers (1) to the roll container loading station (2), characterized in that the transport system (3) has an end position for roll containers (1) transported by the transport system (3) in a loading position (6) of the roll container (1) in the interior of the roll container loading station (2), and the arrangement has a sensor system (5) with which, in the loading position of the roll container (1) in the interior of the roll container loading station (2), at least one relative position between the roll container (1) and at least one reference point in the interior of the roll container loading station (2) is determined. A corresponding method is also described.
