Zusammenfassung:	This application discloses a method for managing a network device and an apparatus, and relates to the field of device management technologies. The method includes: obtaining a static dataset; and generating a knowledge corpus based on the static dataset, where the knowledge corpus is used to manage a network device. The static dataset is used to indicate how to manage the network device, and the static dataset includes data that is generated independent of a device interaction process. Because the data used for generating the knowledge corpus does not need to be obtained through device interaction, this improves feasibility and efficiency of obtaining the data used for generating the knowledge corpus, and accordingly improves feasibility and efficiency of generating the knowledge corpus.
