Zusammenfassung:A method of forming a ceramic matrix composite includes forming a preform (110) by weaving a plurality of warp tows (114) with a plurality of weft tows (112), weaving a plurality of fugitive yarns (116) into a region (118) of the preform (110) in at least one of a warp position or weft position, and subsequently, decomposing the fugitive yarns (116) to transform the region (118) into a pre-weakened region (118), the pre-weakened region (118) having a higher porosity than a remainder of the preform (110).
