TECHNIQUES FOR MANAGING REGION BUILD DEPENDENCIES

Techniques are described for managing dependencies between components during an automated region build. An orchestration service (e.g., a Multi-Flock Orchestrator (MFO)) obtains configuration files corresponding to services to be bootstrapped to a region. The configuration files provide data from which bootstrapping tasks for bootstrapping the plurality of services within the region are identifiable. MFO 1) identifies dependencies between respective services based at least in part on parsing the plurality of configuration files 2) generates, based at least in part on the parsing, a build dependency graph (e.g., a data structure that identifies the configuration files and the dependencies and indicates a corresponding order with which bootstrapping tasks are to be performed), and 3) incrementally instructs a provisioning and deployment manager to execute bootstrapping tasks based at least in part on traversing the build dependency graph, causing the services to be bootstrapped to the region according to the dependencies identified.
