Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a device (10) for checking the stability of at least one mast (12). The invention is characterised by the inclusion of at least one camera (14), which is directed to the mast (12) and is operable by an operator from a ground position (16), and an upper part (18) of the mast (12) is imaged on a camera image (15). Alternatively, at least one camera (14) can be arranged on the upper part (18) of the mast (12), the camera image (15) showing a base part of the mast (12) or a part of the surroundings of the mast (12), such that a relative movement between the base part and the upper part (18) of the mast (12) can be determined. The invention also relates to a method (40) for checking the stability of at least one mast (12) by identifying plastic deformation of the mast (12), in particular using a device (10) according to the invention.
