Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a personal care composition which brightens skin. It more particularly relates to a topical composition which is effective against hyperpigmentation. This is achieved by including in a topical composition hydroxystearic acid (HSA) and tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine (THPE). The efficacy is further enhanced by inclusion of niacinamide.
