Zusammenfassung:	Provided herein are surgical kit systems and a methods for using the same for treating thumb arthritis. The surgical kit system includes a spacer, a strand, a first anchoring mechanism, and a second anchoring mechanism. The spacer is configured to be disposed between the thumb metacarpal and the index metacarpal to prevent impingement between the thumb metacarpal and the index metacarpal. The strand is configured to be anchored to the second and first metacarpals by the first and second anchoring mechanism to suspend the thumb metacarpal, respectively.
