Zusammenfassung:Systems and methods for providing DOCSIS services and at least one additional services to a cable modem by a Remote MACPHY device (RMD). The additional service is provided using a core configured to have an associated timing lock to the RMD, where the RMD is configured to receive information indicating the absence of the timing lock and use the information to disable the additional service while selectively maintaining the DOCSIS services.
