METHOD FOR UNPACKING CARTON SLEEVES AND LOADING A FILLING MACHINE, AND FILLING MACHINE

A method for unpacking bundles (32) of carton sleeves (4) welded in a film (33) is described and illustrated, having at least one holding device (31) for positionally fixed holding of the bundle (32), and having a robot unit (30), wherein the robot unit (30) comprises a robot arm (37) having a plurality of joints (38), and wherein the at least one robot arm (37) holds at least one cutting tool (39) and at least one suction device (40) having at least one intake opening (42), in which method the robot arm (37) of the robot unit (30) uses the cutting tool (39) to cut open the film (33) on at least one end face (34, 35) of the opposing end faces (34, 35) of the bundle, the robot arm (37) of the robot device, preferably after cutting open the film (33) on at least one end face (34, 35) of the bundle (32), cuts open the film (33) with the cutting tool (39) on a longitudinal side of the bundle (32), and the suction device (40) of the robot device sucks up the film (33) before and/or during the cutting open of the film (33) on at least one end face (34, 35) and/or the longitudinal side (36) and, during the suction, pulls the film (33) in the direction of the intake opening (42). In this way, carton sleeves can be guided to filling machines more simply, efficiently and cost-effectively.
