Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to an advantageous composition for its use as a glass raw material comprising (i) hydrated lime and limestone; or (ii) hydrated dolime and dolomite; or (iii) hydrated lime, hydrated dolime, limestone and dolomite; in such amounts that it comprises 25-70 wt% CoO, 0-30 wt% MgO, 10-45 wt% CO2 and 1-20 wt% of bound water. The invention also relates to the use of said composition in a glass batch, to a process of preparing a glass batch and to the use of said glass batch in glass manufacturing.
