Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a device (1000) for discharging battery units (1120), comprising a switch assembly (1100) which is designed to be connected to one or more battery units (1120) and to generate a series circuit with the connected battery units (1120), wherein the switch assembly (1100) comprises two DC voltage connections (1140) for providing a DC voltage (1020); a rectifier circuit (1500) which is designed for converting the DC voltage (1020) provided at the DC voltage connections (1140) of the switch assembly (1100) into an AC voltage; and phase connections (1600) for providing the AC voltage generated by the inverter circuit (1400).
