Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a friction assembly (1) for brakes, which comprises a shoe holder (3) with lower (31) and upper (32) faces and a secondary duct (38) connecting these two faces (31, 32), and a shoe (2) with a first (21) and a second (22) face and a primary duct (28) connecting these two faces (21, 22), the shoe (2) comprising a metal sheet (60) with a base (61) which forms a part of the second face (22) that is able to be fastened to the lower face (31). The friction assembly comprises a junction ring (8) which is arranged in the secondary duct (38) and establishes a junction with the primary duct (28), and a return mechanism (90) which maintains the junction ring (8) in contact with the second face (22) over a circumferential contact region (ZC). The junction ring (8) comes into contact only with the base (61).
