Zusammenfassung:	A method for powder removal from a three-dimensional workpiece generated via additive manufacturing is provided. The method comprises mounting a build cylinder to a build cylinder fixture. The build cylinder comprises a base plate holding the three-dimensional workpiece and sidewalls separably attached to the base plate. The build cylinder comprises residual powder from an additive manufacturing process of the three-dimensional workpiece. The method further comprises attaching a foil to the build cylinder fixture and/or to the base plate. Further, a device for powder removal from a three-dimensional workpiece generated via additive manufacturing is provided.
