Provided is a laundry treating apparatus in which control signals for a processing operation is capable of being input through a control panel. The laundry treating apparatus according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes: a main body configured to accommodate laundry and perform a processing operation for the laundry; a cabinet cover configured to cover the main body to define an exterior and having a first through hole in the front upper end portion thereof; and a control panel installed inside the cabinet cover and partially exposed outside through the first through hole such that a control signal for the processing operation can be input by a user. The control panel includes: a window that is in close contact with the inner surface of the cabinet cover on the front surface thereof other than an area corresponding to the first through hole; a touch screen coupled to the rear surface of the window; and a coating guide fastened to the inner surface of the cabinet cover in a state of being coupled to the window and the touch screen on a rear surface of the touch screen
