Zusammenfassung:	There is described a package forming apparatus (10) configured to manipulate a tube (4) extending along a central axis (A) for obtaining packages (2). The package forming apparatus (10) comprises at least one operative device (20) configured to at least partially form the tube (4) and the at least one operative device (20) comprises at least a first element (23) and a second element (24) configured to at least transversally compress the tube (4) along a respective cross-section (25). The package forming apparatus (10) comprises a control unit configured to selectively control each first element (23) and the respective second element (24) between a respective open configuration and a respective closed configuration. The control unit is also configured to move each first element (23) and the respective second element (24) along a displacement direction (D) transversal to the central axis (A) while each first element (23) and the respective second element (24) are in the closed configuration.
