Zusammenfassung:	The present invention provides an emulsion system an emulsion system obtainable by a process comprising mixing of an anionic latex composition comprising at least one acrylate polymer and at least one anionic surfactant; and at least one cationic surfactant, wherein the molar ratio of the at least one anionic surfactant to the at least one cationic surfactant is in the range of 0.4:1 to 9:1, wherein the cationic surfactant or anionic surfactant or both contains 2 to 30 ethylene oxide (EO) units per molecule. The present invention also provides a process for the preparation of the emulsion system according to the present invention, wherein said process comprises preparing the anionic latex composition comprising at least one acrylate polymer and at least one anionic surfactant, combining the at least one cationic surfactant with the anionic latex composition to form a mixture, and mixing the mixture. The present invention further provides a coating composition comprising the emulsion system according to present invention. The present invention still further provides use of the emulsion system according to the present invention as a coating paint.
