WATER FITTING WITH SCALD PROTECTION

The invention relates to a water fitting (1) with an adjustable cartridge (2) for infinitely variably mixing a cold water flow and a hot water flow in order to obtain a mixed water flow, having a first adjusting element (3) via which the mixture ratio of cold water to hot water in the mixed water flow can be adjusted, and with an operating lever (4) which is connected to the first adjusting element (3) of the cartridge (2) via a transmission mechanism (5) so that the mixture ratio of cold water to hot water in the mixed water flow can be adjusted by a temperature adjusting movement (6) of the operating lever (4), wherein the temperature adjusting movement (6) is a rotational movement about a rotational axis (19), and the transmission mechanism (5) has at least one stop (7) which limits the movement of the first mixture ratio adjusting element (3) in the direction of a hot water increase to a threshold setting (8). The stop (7) is designed such that the operating lever (4) is brought into an unlocked position (21) by an unlocking movement (11), which differs from the temperature adjusting movement, thus allowing a further movement in the direction of a hot water increase beyond the threshold setting (8).
