Zusammenfassung:	An ostomy appliance for attachment to the skin surface of a user is disclosed. The ostomy appliance comprises an adhesive layer having a proximal side including a proximal surface for adhering the sensor patch to the skin, and a distal side including a distal surface; a plurality of electrical conductors positioned in a liquid detection zone; and a layer of nonwoven substrate arranged on the distal side of the adhesive layer, the layer of nonwoven substrate being liquid permeable and adapted to guide said liquid towards said liquid detection zone.
