Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a process and a facility for the treatment of arthropod larvae prior to additional treatments for separating compounds of interest, and in particular protein flour and oil, and in particular live insect larvae, comprising: * a step of separating the larvae and frass; * a step of devitalisation of the larvae; characterised in that * said devitalisation step comprises submerging said larvae in water at a temperature of between 50°C and 95°C, * said devitalisation step being followed by a step of separating the larvae and the water.
